Guide on safe operation

  • When operating the press brake, you must pay attention to adjusting the stroke and ensure that a test run is performed before bending. When the upper die of the bending machine is lowered to the bottom a certain clearance of the plate thickness must be maintained. Otherwise, the mold and machine will be damaged. Stroke adjustment also includes electric quick adjustment and manual fine adjustment.
  • Regarding the bending notch, usually choose a notch with a width of 10 times the thickness of the board. To bend 4mm paper, you need to choose a notch at about 40. The notch can fold 10mm board. It is not allowed to use more than 10mm board.
  • Back gauge adjustment is generally divided into electric quick adjustment and manual fine adjustment, the same method as the shear.
  • Step on the foot switch to start bending. The bending machine is different from the shearing machine. It can be released at any time. When you release your foot, the bending machine will stop and continue to descend when you step on it.


  1. Check the overlap and firmness of the upper and lower dies; check whether each positioning device meets the processing requirements.
  2. When the upper slide and each positioning axis is not at the origin, run the return to the origin program.
  3. The hydraulic press brake will idle for 1-2 minutes after starting and move on the full stroke of the slide 2-3 times. If there is an abnormal sound or fault, please immediately stop the operation to troubleshoot, and then work again after everything is back to normal.
  4. When working, one person should be in unified command so that the operator can work closely with the feeding and pressing personnel to ensure that the collaborators are in a safe position before the bending signal is given.
  5. The sheet metal must be compacted during bending to prevent it from lifting and injuring people during the bending process.
  6. The power must be cut off and the operation should be stopped when adjusting the sheet metal die.
  7. Do not allow any material to contact with the lower die when changing the opening degree of the variable lower die.
  8. Do not allow anyone to stand behind the machine when it is working.
  9. If you find the workpiece or mold is incorrect during operation, please stop and correct it. It is strictly forbidden to correct it by hand, so as not to cause hand injury.
  10. It is forbidden to fold the extra-thick iron plate or hardened steel plate advanced alloy steel square and thin plate that exceeds the performance of sheet metal bending machine to avoid damaging the machine.
  11. Check the overlap of the upper and lower die regularly; pressure gauge instructions are in line with the regulations.
  12. If the hydraulic bending machine appears abnormal please stop immediately, check the cause and timely troubleshooting abnormalities.
  13. Before the hydraulic bending machine is closed, put the wooden block on the lower die below the cylinder on both sides in order to put the upper slide on the wooden block.
  14. Exit the control system program first and then cut off the power.
